The Worth of your Parents

Dear little girl –

When you whirl

around, dance and rejoice,

Friends become your choice,

Your friends and the people around you is your world,

Your love to your parents begin to turn cold,

‘Cause you feel that caring people are too many,

Ignorant of the fact that they are all for your penny,

At times when good times ceases and bad times seems ceaseless,

You will gain only one thing called loneliness,

Then something warm and cozy creeps into yourself,

It’s the true love you lost when you cared only self,

Look at your parents still stretching their loving arms.

Happy at the thought of not begging for alms,

It’s not too late late to understand,

These words which prove to stand,

When you –

laugh , the world laughs with you,

And when you cry –

You alone cry.

So, little girl,

Listen without a shrill,

For you – your parents are all,

your parents are all,

They will help you even at times

when you fall!!
